all timeless and now its gone
like when we were old and young
my life cycles and to return
a certain balance I attempt to earn
and I'm lucky o' this I know
given chances and places to grow

not easy going in my to and fro
and I was lying o' this I know
the simple pleasure in blasting my mind
and in the morning I wake to find
a mess in my heart, a mess in my head
o' dread dreadful to wish you were dead
but then again and to that place
I push myself in almost a race to

to sift through worry whether inner or real
and beat myself in a final appeal
repeat and cycle an endless mass
tripped and fallen lying flat on my ass
selfish heart hurting innocents around
a little truth somewhere can be found
maybe I am who I thought I was
a little bastard crawling from the mud to
